Hi there,

Mastitis is awfully painful - I hope you'll feel better soon. I always find, too, that the only times I slow down and relax are when I'm ill, so I guess it's a blessing in disguise!

I don't know if you would be interested in this: http://prague.today.com/2009/03/13/calling-all-expats-world-blog-surf-day/

They are looking for more bloggers from South Africa and living abroad.

Best wishes,

Hhm...interesting, but I think part of the whole 'unecessary marketing' thing directed at mothers...children learn all they need to from those around them, provided they are reasonably decent intelligent human beings I believe!

Hi, I am happy to give you some hints - the stuff I write as you can see isn't that 'commercial' but I also write articles for another site. If your blog is about hints and tips on motherhood-related subjects, you can use tools like the Google Adwords, to find out what search terms people use to find the topics you're writing about - and then use those search terms in your blog post, to help people find your article more easily. If that makes any sense! Other than that, I'd say keep it fairly simple and to the point, with fairly short paragraphs; be honest, find your own 'voice', and see what others are writing too, to spark off ideas. Good luck and feel free to ask me any more questions.

Hello! Thank you for my comment! I really hope that I can get into making this site, I found that some of my best information since starting on the road to parenting, has come for the internet! I really have no idea what it is that I am doing and welcome any suggestions that might help this take off a little better! I would appreciate it and I thank you for your comment!

Yes it certainly is like that in England- you'd think they'd have figured something out by now! Good to hear that your daughter is so able with the baking...that's great. My boy shows such an interest in 'cooking', I'm trying to encourage it...but have to remember he is after all only very little ;)

I love this concept and i love that you are courageous enough to forge your own path with your toddler. i think u are doing a great job at motherhood. Definitely time to up the self-praise and to let go of guilt and self-doubt...not only are u finding ur own balance with motherhood...you are inspiring other mothers to do the same, and to be more conscious in their parenting. Well Done !!!

Thank you. My son also used to want to bite and tear books more than read them, but that has really changed since his attention span improved. One thing I've learned from lurking on internet forums, all kids are so different!

I was very touched by your description of sharing books with your son and also shocked that more than half of all parents don't read with their child each day. My daughter loves books and the bedtime story is a not-to-be-missed part of our daily routine. I am also trying to encourage my son to look at books but he is at the 'I'd rather tear it apart than look at it' stage, although he does sometimes look at the pictures and smiles, so that is a start!

Best wishes for many more special times reading with your son,
